At SqWires in Lafayette Square, we’re bringing you a Midwest Summer featuring the freshest of homegrown produce and the secret family recipes from our kitchen. Great food in a great place.

As you enjoy your summer in the city, we’ll entertain you in style with BBQ on our patio every Thursday and a family style shrimp boil on Fridays, plus our Oyster Bar Happy Hours 5-7pm on Friday.

George is BBQ’n outdoors. He mixes up his secret sauce for the ribs, the perfect jerk rub for chicken, tangy lemon lime marinade for skewered shrimp, burgers wrapped and stuffed with surprises, select salmon with summer herbs. Alongside is grilled corn just picked in St. Louis area farms and tender collard greens barely simmered with a harmony of spices.

The Friday night shrimp boil is perfect served family style or for just one. Peel and eat shrimp, chunks of sweet corn, new red potatoes and collard greens inviting you to dip in and take honest pleasure in good food.

SqWires principles of good eating inspire our summer menu and rely on the bounty of our local farms. This is the season to nourish the spirit as well as the body, celebrating our life in the city and enjoying food with a whole heart.

We’ll mix you a special mojito with chocolate mint from our garden or add a sprig to your iced tea or lemonade. We’ll chop ingredients from our “salsa garden” to create the perfect topping to complement your fish. We’ll crush juicy berries, peaches and cherries from local growers to concoct mouth-watering cobblers served fresh from our ovens. The time is right for our glorious gazpacho to appear once again on our August menu - tomatoes perfectly ripe and plentiful paired with crispy cucumber and our own savory touches - cool and bursting with flavor; summer in a cup.

Come in for lunch, dinner, Saturday or Sunday brunch for your favorites or choose from our daily specials menu. Stay and listen to the tunes Friday, Saturday, Sunday nights and Sunday brunch.
